Winter in Wales

In December 2009 I spent some time in Talywern, a remote hamlet in Mid Wales. The journey from London was long, with multiple changes of trains, and I got stuck for ages at Shrewsbury because the train from Aberystwyth was delayed due to bad weather. The journey took all day but it was a worthwhile trip: there was snow everywhere and I felt like I'd stepped into Narnia.
