Mass-produced utilitarian timber groynes constructed for sea defence on Worthing beaches have been transformed into an amazing variety of beautiful sculptural forms by the forces of nature. Erosion by weather and water, perhaps 20 years in the making. I see them when I walk on the beach and they amaze me. Sooner or later, they will disappear.
